Upcycled Birdfeeder



Kaboose shares a very easy way to create an eco-conscience bird feeder out of a milk carton.  They just use a cut up carton, but kids could easily decorate it with paint to make it more of a craft project.

Pulley Bugs


Almost unschoolers has a fun way to combine a pulley and a paper bug craft project. She suggests hanging them on a doorknob and then using the pulley to help them climb the string. The trick is placing two straws correctly to get the bugs to climb.

Embellished Tile Coasters



The cottage home has very cute functional craft that kids can create and give as a gift. All they need are solid color tiles, square fabric swatches and mod podge. They'll have lots of fun in the fabric store choosing their fabric.
Good for ages 7 and up.

Paper Art Lantern

DIY Pom Pom Flowers



Domestifluff teaches how to make a flower pom pom using just a twig and yarn. You could even paint the twigs to give them a different look and feel.

Growing Salt Crystals


The chemistry channel of about.com has instructions on how to grow crystals from epsom salt. All you need is warm water and the salt which you can find in the laundry section of most stores. You can also add food coloring for fun or a sponge to have a base.

DIY Oatmeal Container Drum



Serving pink lemonade has a cute idea for how to make a quick and easy drum. Strip an oatmeal canister of it's lining, add a chevron strip and attach a ribbon, take 2 unsharpened pencils and then you have it.
