Star Sun Catchers


Tissue paper of multiple colors makes up this star sun catcher from brass tacks and basics.  She shows step by step how to fold and put together this multi-pointed star shape.

The Eric Carle Museum shares their version using coffee stirrer sticks to make the outline of the stars.  They then hang them like a mobile.

Breaking Down Colors Science Experiment


Did you know that with just water you can see the colors that make up another color?  We made that shows the science of chromatography doing just that.  She takes a coffee filter, draws on a black stripe, sits in a pool of water, and then when the water reaches the ink the colors start to show.

Mess Free Butterflies


A colorful sponge makes the wings for these pretty butterflies, while a pipe cleaner shapes them, adds the body and antennae.  The craft train then adds sparkly stickers and even magnets to beautify her refrigerator.

Felt Streets



Cut brown felt into strips and turns to make a mini street for toy cars.  Yellow puffy paint adds the broken lines so the kids and cars can move safely.  While he was napping shares all of the details.
