Yarn Snowmen


White yarn is rolled up into increasing sizes snowballs to make a snowman with better homes and gardens.  They then add wire arms, a knitted scarf and sew on eyes and mouth.

Spider Egg Sacks


White yarn is dipped in glue and wrapped around a balloon to create a spider nest with modern parents messy kids.  She then lets the yarn dry and pops and removes the balloon adding a plastic spider web on the outside.

Yarn Ladybugs



Red and black yarn is dipped in glue and wrapped around two separate balloons to make the basis for this yarn ladybug from parents.  After the yarn dries the balloons are popped and removed.  They then add large googly eyes and a pipe cleaner antennae.

Yarn Skeletons


Black felt and white yarn turn into hanging spooky skeletons.  Disney takes a blown up balloon and wraps the yarn around it with glue, gluing on the scary face with black felt cut outs.  They then pop the balloon and remove it, hanging the skeletons around the house for Halloween.

Yarn Painting


Thread and paint combine to make this great toddler friendly painting activity.  Supply the little ones with different color paint and string.  Then have the kids dip the yarn into the paint and use the thread to paint a picture.  Kids will love the sensory play with the soft yarn and getting to touch the paint in a different way.
